Having joined the the Marella Cruises fleet in June 2023, Marella Voyager offers familiar favourites but also new concepts. You can read our full ship review here. The questions have been compiled from our Instagram page. Answers are based on our sailing in Summer 2023.
How many bars and restaurants are onboard?

There are 10 bars and 16 restaurants including speciality dining. New inclusive restaurants include Abuela’s which serves up Mexican dishes and The Kitchens which is a new take on the conventional buffet offering 8 different eateries. It’s a nice idea however lunch time offerings don’t change during your cruise however the evening menu does change. New Speciality dining includes Silver Fork which offers up twists on classic British dishes.
How many cabins does the ship have?
952 ranging from inside cabins all the way to suites. There’s a cabin to suit every cruiser and their budget.
Is the premium drinks package worth it?
This is a hot topic and we’ve done both. It really comes down to personal choice and if you like a specific brand of drink. However we enjoyed the premium package for cocktails, anyone for a Mudslide? The canned soft drinks rather than the draught counterparts on the classic drinks package were a winner for us.
What sockets are in the cabin?
These can range depending on your cabin. Take US and European adapters to be safe! However at the time we sailed there was one adapter plugged into a sockets which had room for two USB chargers.
Can I get classic drinks package drinks at Flutes?
Yes, as with any of the bars onboard drinks from both packages are available. Flutes is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner tipple.
Do you have to pay for The Exchange?
The Exchange is a premium experience. You can read our review here. However, after the show the bar opens and it is free to enter and their premium cocktails are on offer in addition to all classic drinks.
What’s in Oceans Spa?

Everything you’d expect from a thermal spa on land with the addition of wonderful sea views. Expect to find a range of saunas, steam rooms, heated beds and you’ll even get access to a private sunbathing area. Packages available include: spa treatments, spa access (daily and weekly) and hair & beauty treatments.
What about WiFi?
Wi-Fi is never cheap onboard a ship and there is a cap on how much data you can use. It’s great for staying in touch with home on a sea day or sailing between ports but we tend to put our devices on airplane mode whilst at sea and buy a data roaming package for when we’re in port before leaving the UK. Prices for Wi-Fi range from £15 for 200MB to £95 for 5000mb.
Is there a kids club?
The popular M Club Mini and M Club can be found onboard and activities include movie and pizza nights. Teens in your travel party? Then the Hideout or Gamer Zone will keep them entertained.
Can you request an iron?
You can’t request an iron unfortunately but there are laundry offers for pressing garments. Staying in a suite? You’ll get up to three items each pressed for free!
What activities are onboard?

We couldn’t possibly list them all! Check the Cruise News to see all of the activities that are happening throughout the ship and there is certainly plenty for everyone onboard. Feeling lucky? Join a BlackJack tournament in the casino. Looking for something more creative? Head to The Arts House to take part in craft based activities.
