This experience took place as part of our paid partnership with Marella Cruises whilst onboard Marella Voyager.
What is Platter?
A brand new speciality dining concept for Marella Cruises onboard Marella Voyager offering up a range of boards consisting of: meats, cheeses and most importantly a selection of wines to accompany your meal.
Located on deck 7 and opening late afternoon into the evening, Platter offers up a lighter speciality dining option. The fun part of this restaurant is that you can sit at the counter and watch your food being prepared in front of you. If you’ve visited the sushi restaurants on Marella’s Discovery or Explorer ships, the seating at the counter will be familiar to you. Or if you’d prefer a quieter spot, there are plenty of tables with a sea view.

As speciality dining goes in terms of pricing, Platter is at the lower end of the scale as it works out cheaper than Surf & Turf or Silver Fork as a simple comparison. At the time of writing, a platter for one started at £5.95 which allowed you to pick three items. Looking to share? Then you can pick six items for £9.45. Perhaps you’re feeling extra peckish or there are three of you sharing? Then the largest board comes in at £13.95 which allows you 9 choices.
If you run out of space on your platter you can also add a ‘top-up’ for £2.45. Fancy pairing wine with your choices? A wine flight is available for an additional £9.95.
Vegetarian or Vegan? Not a problem, the team will happily accommodate your request. Options include: arancini, beetroot & cheese mousse and marinated olives.
All options were delicious and a great opportunity to try something you wouldn’t normally go for. Don’t be fooled, you will certainly leave feeling full!
An addition to the ambience is the live music from Flutes, which travels up two decks allowing you to enjoy the background sounds.
